Mosquitoes weigh just a few milligrams, yet they are the world's number one serial killer, The female of certain species feeds on the blood of its host, sometimes also transmitting diseases such as malaria, dengue, yellow fever, and Zika.  

But what the world be like without these tiny annoying and potential disease carrying insects? They are an important part of ecosystems, and eliminating mosquitoes entirely could harm ecosystems and may not fully solve the problem of infectious disease.
